This picture below says it all. . . .
Terry had the opportunity of visiting the Emergency Room in Reykjavik. Diagnosis: BIG kidney stone, were the doctors exact words. OUCH!
Since the stone was too big to pass, he was scheduled to have a procedure to break up the stone, but not until May 4. He couldn't function because of the pain and he couldn't function being on pain meds. After five days of watching him be tough, I made an executive decision and bought plane tickets home.
I knew we could come home, get him all fixed, and back to Iceland within two weeks. He wasn't happy about me 'bossing him around', ha, he's so funny. However, now that we're home and all is going well to get him up and running again, he's my best buddy again.
Please keep Terry in your prayers for all to go well this week for the procedure and the stone pieces to pass successfully.
We're anxious to get back to Iceland, to continue with our Family Search project at the National Archive of Iceland. We love what were doing. We love the people we work with. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve those who have passed on from this earthly life and assist with the process of getting them connected to their family tree.
Speaking of family, it is a BONUS to be home for a minute to hug our little ones, see our children in action being parents, and knowing 'family' is the reason it all matters.
If you would like to connect the members in your family, go to www.familysearch.org and create an account. It's free and very satisfying to see who/where you came from, to learn about your heritage, and your ancestors.
Iceland, the country, the people, and the surroundings have a piece of our hearts forever.
Have a blessed week,
Terry and Lil
P.S. If you talk to Terry, DON'T say anything about the picture of him in the hospital. He THREATENED me to not take his picture. However, I decided when he was asleep, the request didn't apply ;)
Oh you both are in my prayers. We love you. Does he not realize your the boss Lil ? I hope we get to sneak a hug why you are home .
